JHA Associates Ltd. is a leading manufacturer of architectural finishes. Headquartered in Kingston, Jamaica, JHA manufactures custom-built fencing, handrails, grills, and storm shutters under three (3) brand names. JHA Associates Ltd. markets its successful family of branded products under such names as Sentry™, Caribbean Shield™ and Island Designs™. Each brand has a distinct, distinguishable brand identity, image and purpose.

Sentry™	includes the product lines of its handrails, sliding grills and fencing;
Caribbean Shield™	includes the product lines of its accordion, roller and panel storm shutters;
Island Designs™	includes the product lines of its decorative louvers, and awnings.

JHA Associates Ltd. is a family-owned and operated manufacturing company in business since 1996 and having its roots in the bauxite and construction industry in Jamaica and the Caribbean since 1968.

The initials JHA are the first names of the founding principles of the company – John, Harry and Andrew. The company begins with John Harper who started John Harper Construction in 1986 specializing in steel fabrication and plant maintenance. John Harpers two sons, Andrew and Harry, joined the management team in 1995 and 1996 respectively. In 1997, when JHA Associates ltd. formally started trading it diversified to metal fabrication specializing in aluminum.

JHA Associates first began manufacturing custom-built sliding grills in 1997. In 1999, the company formally moved away from the bauxite industry and introduced custom-built handrails. In 2000, JHA introduced storm shutters to Jamaica and began manufacturing them in 2001. Today, JHA is the largest manufacturer and installer of storm shutters in Jamaica.

Their 55,000 square foot manufacturing site, customer service and show room is located at 15 Retirement Crescent, Kingston 5.

Today, the principles of the company remain John Harper, Bsc. Engineering; Andrew Harper, B (Eng) Hons; and Harry Harper, Bsc., Maritime Studies.
